Finance and the future, with Intesa Sanpaolo

At this event, Intesa Sanpaolo’s Chief of IMI Corporate & Investment Banking, Mauro Micillo, will share insights into the ever-evolving world of fintech and how they identify new opportunities to deploy innovation.

Author and entrepreneur Guido Brera – co-creator of Netflix series Devils (Diavoli) – will bring observations and experience from a range of examples in an exciting and creative production, along with professional expertise in his role as Chair of wealth and asset management firm Kairos Partners SGR.

They’ll be hosted by Professor Gilles Chemla, Co-Director of the Centre for Financial Technology at Imperial College Business School, for a live Q&A after Mr Brera’s performance.

About the speakers 

Mauro Micillo 

Mauro has been the Head of the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division since 2016, following an extensive career in finance with many institutions. In addition to his role, he is also currently a Member of the Supervisory Board (Net Zero Carbon Cities) of the World Economic Forum, having previously been a member of the European Commission’s Expert Group on Market Efficiency. He was also Chair of Allfunds Bank, a Spanish bank later listed on the London Stock Exchange.

He currently holds academic positions at Oxford University and LUISS Guido Carli in Rome. Previous roles include being a Lecturer at SDA Bocconi and Adjunct Professor at the University of Brescia. Visit the Intesa Sanpaolo website for more information.

Gilles Chemla 

Gilles is a Professor of Finance at Imperial College Business School and Co-director of Imperial’s Centre for Financial Technology. He is also a research fellow at Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, a research fellow at Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), a senior research fellow at the Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis (RCEA), and a member of the American Finance Association, American Economic Association, Western Finance Association, and European Finance Association.
