Join Dr. Amiera Sawas at the next Changing Planet Seminar where she’ll discuss the increasingly studied interconnections between gender justice and climate change; some cutting edge work to address them, including new international mechanisms to govern the phase out of fossil fuels; and what it’s like to be a woman, working on intersectional gender justice in the climate sector.

About the speaker:
Dr. Amiera Sawas is a feminist researcher and advocate who works at the intersections of climate change, gender justice, public participation and international law. Amiera has almost 20 years experience working on these issues including at the Grantham Institute for Climate Change at Imperial College. Amiera has a PhD on water, climate and human rights in Pakistan and is a contributing author to the IPCC sixth assessment report on gender and climate security.
