
Abstract:
The seminar aims to show and discuss the main results of an experimental campaign performed at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering, University of Padova, aimed at investigating the behaviour of masonry arched structures strengthened by means of an FRCM (Fabric-Reinforced Cementitious Matrix) and post-tensioned systems applied to the arch intrados.
Bio:
Paolo Zampieri is Associate Professor of Structural Analysis at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering, University of Padova, Italy. He is professor of Structural Analysis and Adjunct professor Desing of bridges. Member of the Advisory board of the PhD Course in Sciences of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering. His research interests are: Structural analysis of existing structures; with special attention to masonry; the study of innovative materials as strengthening system applied to masonry structures; the investigation of the structural performance of new steel bridges subjected to extreme actions. He has authored over 100 papers in journals and conference proceedings, over 70 of them in referred ISI/Scopus.
