Project Description
The aim of this thesis is to better understand the effect of storm surges on the magnitude and frequency of so-called 'rogue' wave events. We aim to simulate various cases using 2D and 3D boundary element models, and make comparisons with results from the laboratory wave flumes. The outcome of this research should lead to better design waves for storm conditions in intermediate water depths.
