Professor Roger Sargent was known in the academic world as the father of Process Systems Engineering - a visionary whose application of computing techniques to chemical engineering helped transform the field. But for many, he was also known as a dedicated teacher and supervisor, whose wise counsel, humour and unwavering intellectual curiosity has inspired countless students since he first began teaching in 1958. To honour his immense contributions, Imperial is creating The Roger Sargent Endowed Fund for Student Support, to ensure his legacy will continue for generations.
