Letters to support your Visa application
Please check the UK Government guidance on whether you need a visa to travel to London. International Student Support may also be able to provide guidance on submitting your application.
If you or your guests require a visa support letter from Imperial College London for Graduation Days 2026, please read the information below before you complete the Visa Support Letter form.
- We are unable to provide visa support letters for graduands who are yet to be awarded.
- We are only able to provide a visa letter if you are eligible to attend Graduation Days 2026. View the eligibility criteria.
- We are only able to provide visa support letters for graduands who are attending on the day.
- Graduands can request a visa support letter for themselves and up to three guests.
- Obtaining a visa may take several weeks and it is your responsibility to ensure you have completed all legal requirements before you travel.
How to request a visa support letter.
The Visa Support Letter form allows you to generate a letter for you and up to three guests. If you need to add more guests, you will need to fill in the form a second time.
Please follow the instructions below:
- For yourself and/or up to three guests
Open the link to the Visa Support Letter form. You will be prompted to enter your CID number and your date of birth in the format:

If you require another support letter for up to three additional guests, please use the same form link again and when prompted, enter your CID number and your date of birth in the format:
CIDNUMBER/DDMMYYYY followed by an 'X' (e.g. 01234567/24011991X)
