Volunteer Roles

There are a variety of volunteer roles available for a range of different skill sets; each are vital to creating a positive experience for graduands:

  • Crowd Choreographers - Crowd Choreographers get people in the right place at the right time. These roles require a lot of walking and movement both indoors and outdoors.
  • Info Gurus - Info Gurus provide guidance and answer questions for guests, graduands, and staff. They provide information about the schedule of the event, and assist with any issues or concerns that arise during the day.
  • Support Ninjas - Support Ninjas handle a variety of tasks to ensure the event runs smoothly. They provide general support wherever needed particularly on campus or at the Faculty Receptions.
  • Staff Superstars - Staff Superstars are dedicated members of Imperial staff in critical roles. From leading other volunteers to managing data, they help to ensure the event runs seamlessly.
  • Royal Albert Hall Stewards - Members of Imperial's Academic Services staff supporting at the Royal Albert Hall.

Prior to the event you will be provided with a detailed briefing pack and volunteer guide. All volunteers will be invited to a briefing session and will be fully supported by an assigned Team Leader who will act as your main point of contact for the duration of your shift.
