About this Challenge Team
This spring, two teams will embark on a sustainability-focused scavenger hunt across London and the Isle of Wight, testing their problem-solving, navigation, and eco-conscious travel skills.
Day 1 (London)
A classic scavenger hunt through key climate and sustainability landmarks—think exhibitions at the Science Museum, the Thames Barrier, and Strata SE1. Each challenge will lead to the next, culminating in the final reveal: the next leg of the journey to the Isle of Wight.
Day 2 (Isle of Wight)
Teams will use What3Words clues to decode locations, uncovering hidden challenge boxes (geocaching-style) along the way. The goal? Plan the most efficient route, complete the most sustainability-focused challenges, and meet at the finish line—the pub!
This expedition is about more than competition; it’s an opportunity to engage with sustainability in action, problem-solve in real time, and prove that adventure and low-impact travel can go hand in hand. We hope to engage with the different environments and share our findings and experience with the student body as we complete this challenge. This will hopefully not only shed light on interesting sustainability projects and landmarks but inspire others to support and visit places which contribute to a greener world.
