Meet Dr Anne Majumdar

What course do you teach on and what is your role?

I am the Human Nutrition Pathway Lead on the MRes Clinical Research.

How has your career led you to teaching?

I am an academic dietitian, specialising in chronic conditions prevention and management, who works clinically in the NHS but who has been predominantly university-based for the past 14 years. I am passionate about facilitating learning with those connected to clinical and public health.

What aspect of the course do you enjoy teaching the most?

I'm extremely passionate about engaging those who are new to clinical research and in facillitating them tp develop their research skills to produce high quality research outputs.

What do you hope your students will go on to achieve on completion of this course?

Our graduates have vast interdisciplinary transferable skills, and are extremely well equipe toPhD study, and take on research roles within Industry, within the clinical setting and within acadaemia.

What is your favourite part about teaching at Imperial College London?

It is extremely rewarding working within Imperial since our students have access to a vast network of skilled academics, fantastic resources and are able to engage with a huge number of fascinating events beyond their programme of study.
