The Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction is delighted to offer funding towards any Department led MSc/MRes programmes for a student commencing the programme in the 2025/2026 academic year. There is one bursary per course.
Programmes included:
- Applied Genomics
- Biomedical Research (all streams)
- Clinical Research (all pathways)
- Human Molecular Genetics
- Reproductive and Developmental Biology
Eligibility
The funding shall be available to a home fee status postgraduate student who is commencing their course of study in 2025-26. Students may be full-time or part-time study mode.
Funding
The funding is valued at £2,000 towards the tuition fee rate for 2025-26. For part time study, £1,000 will be awarded for each year of the two year degree.
Eligibility criteria
- To be eligible to apply for the funding you must be in receipt of an offer for the Department led MSc/MRes programmes to commence in October 2025.
- To receive the funding, you must have accepted the offer and have fulfilled all offer criteria.
Submission process
Once in receipt of an offer for Department led MSc/MRes programmes, please submit a statement of no more than 500 words outlining:
- Why the funding will be beneficial to your studies and help you to achieve your academic goals.
- How it will contribute to your future or continuing career plans.
Please submit your statement to the relevant course admin including:
- Your full name
- Your College Identifier Number (CID)
- ‘MDR funding opportunity’ in the email Subject Line
Deadline
Applications will close on Friday 30th May 2025 (11.59pm, UK time).
Evaluation process
- All applications will be initially checked for eligibility
- Applications will then be reviewed by the panel and evaluated
