Daniel Greenbaum was a visionary leader and had over three decades of governmental and non-governmental experience in environmental health. He was President of the U.S. Health Effects Institute since 1994.

Dan was a member of the MRC Centre for Environment and Health International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB) since 2014. Since 2020, he was on the ISAB of the Joint MRC Centre and the NIHR HPRUs in Environmental Exposures and Health and in Chemical and Radiation Threats and Hazards. We benefited from his wide experience and sage advice born of steering the Health Effects Institute to achieve notable impacts in the field of environmental research and policy and chairing consensus committees for the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

Dan was a Visiting Professor in the Environmental Research Group.
