The Imperial Centre for Paediatrics and Child Health (PaeCH) is delighted to be able to award up to 2 awards to participants of the Applied Paediatrics MSc programme commencing 2025/2026 academic year.
Each award will be of the sum of £1,000 and is available to successful applicants within the first academic year of the postgraduate Applied Paediatrics programme.
The award will only be available to students whose aim is to complete the full MSc on a part time basis over 2 to 3 years. It will be awarded to students who aim to utilise the MSc project component to investigate a pertinent research question with a focus on child health. Students who do not go on to complete the full MSc will be required to return the bursary award.
Eligibility
We will award the bursaries based on the clear indication of an interest in child health research with a declaration of a specific focus for the research. Applications are welcome from any student currently holding an offer for the 24/25 academic year to start the Applied Paediatrics programme.
Funding
Two bursaries of up to £1,000 each are available.
Eligibility criteria
- To be eligible to apply the applicant must be in receipt of an offer for the Applied Paediatrics PG programme to commence in September 2025.
- To receive the bursary they must have accepted the offer and have fulfilled all offer criteria.
Submission process
- Please submit an application online.
- The applicant should submit a personal statement of no more than 1 side of A4 describing their intent for undertaking the MSc, the research question that is of interest to them at present and why (including figures and references; min font size 11)
Of note: we do not expect a fully developed project proposal. We also are aware that with time and thought evolution over the course of the MSc this idea and question may change or develop further. The aim is for the applicant to demonstrate an interest and intent. - Applications will close on 10 June 2025.
Evaluation process
- All applications will be initially checked for eligibility
- Applications will then be reviewed by the panel and evaluated
- The awarded will be given depending on the perceived relevance of the research question of interest within the applicants own professional or clinical context.
