Prof Helen McNair

Helen is Professor of Translational therapeutic radiography at The Institute of Cancer Research and lead clinical academic radiographer at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. She was awarded a HEE/NIHR Senior Clinical Lectureship in 2019, in the subject area of making ‘real time adaptive radiotherapy’ possible. Her other areas of research are the translation of novel radiotherapy technologies into clinical practice, investigating both the efficacy and efficiency. Helen has contributed to many national guidelines and co-chaired the NRIG IGRT report and the 2021 update.  She is a member of the teaching faculty of the ESTRO MRIgRT course and is a Fellow of the British Institute of Radiology.
