I spent 10 years in a research role at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, where I initiated technological advances across the patient pathway. This deepened my understanding of the issues relating to implementing new techniques, particularly from a staff development perspective.  I held a role as IGRT lead for the RTTQA group for a number of years which involved advising on clinical trial protocols and QA programmes. I also was an active member of CTRad WS4 and the NHSE SABR CtE oversight committee.

I moved into a managerial role in 2015 and am now Head of Radiotherapy at Barts Health NHS Trust. This role allows me to continue to be involved with evaluation and adoption of innovations but also brings the additional focus of developing the Therapeutic Radiographer workforce skills required to achieve this.
