1. Apply for a place on a Faculty of Medicine Master's programme
- Please ensure that you have applied for a place on a Faculty of Medicine Master's programme before applying for the Dean's Master's and/or Dr Jean Alero Thomas scholarships. Failure to do so may render your scholarship application invalid.
- It is not essential to wait for an offer of a place on a programme to be made before applying but the initial programme application must be made before submitting the scholarship application.
- To apply for a Master's programme, please use our online admissions system.
2. Complete the application form
- Complete the online application form.
- Students will automatically be considered for both scholarship programmes, where eligible, when submitting the form.
- The form will need to be completed in a single session, so please be mindful of this when opening the application form.
- The form will ask for the following:
- Personal details
- The title(s) of the programme(s) which you have applied for
- Completion of four competency-based questions.
- If you have any queries or have difficulty completing the form, please contact the Faculty of Medicine Postgraduate Team (feopostgradtm@imperial.ac.uk).
3. Selection process
- The Dean's Master's and Dr Jean Alero Thomas scholarships are awarded to applicants who are deemed by the panel to have the greatest potential to be leaders in their chosen field. This is assessed through academic excellence, professional/research experience and sense of career trajectory. Typically, applicants should be among the highest achievers in their academic cohort or have considerable professional experience.
- Applications will initially be reviewed by departments, before shortlisting and review at Faculty-level takes place in June
- All applicants will be informed of their outcome, successful or not, by the end of July.
