As I became the first engineer woman and the first PhD woman in my village in northern Morocco, I inspired many young women and families to let their daughters travel for studies or work. Thanks to my parents who supported me all the way long in my endeavors, I am proud of how they made use of wisdom and firm convictions to counter social criticism and encourage other parents to support their daughters’ education. My quest for knowledge and self-independence propelled me into an amazing trajectory where I became multidisciplinary, multilingual, and multicultural. As of today, I have lived in seven countries (Morocco, Egypt, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK) and I speak nine languages fluently: Arabic, English, French, German, Spanish, and Catalan, in addition to my mother tongue: Berber, Moroccan dialect, and Egyptian dialect.
