I am proud to be a Lebanese woman at Imperial College London, focusing on the conceptualisation of a novel policy framework for de-risking investment in CCUS and Blue Hydrogen for decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors.

I am the first woman in my country to take part in the Youth4Climate and PreCOP26. Chosen as one of five most influential youth in tackling climate change in the MENA region by UNDP Climate, my career emancipates from academia as a research assistant to community work with GreenPeace MENA and a formal civil servant with the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). Lately, I have joined our Imperial Community’s COP28 delegation to Dubai.

Heavily engaged in community work and promoting NetZero in my region, the Middle East, I encourage women to cease their place in the energy transition, by finding their passion in such a male dominated field. My efforts to secure a safe and healthy future for the future generations has been recognised by diplomatic figures and governments. In November 2023, I was invited by the French Presidency to give the opening speech to the Paris Peace Forum, sending a call to finance heavy decarbonisation and bridge between countries of the North and the South.
