Renee van Diemen
I research climate change mitigation and provide scientific support in the production of assessments conducted by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The most rewarding part of the job is working with climate scientists all over the world.
I love baking, especially anything to do with bread or pastry. I also love going camping and being in the outdoors (when it’s not raining!) I am originally from The Netherlands and spent much of my childhood in China: I speak Mandarin Chinese.
I’ve been at CEP since 2014, first as a student on the MSc Environmental Technologyand now as a researcher. It’s been great seeing the department from both angles. There is such a wide range of research being conducted at CEP that there’s always something new to learn.
