Congratulations to Professor Roy Taylor who has won the Rumford Medal from the Royal Society for his outstanding contributions to tunable ultrafast lasers and nonlinear fibre optics, including fibre Raman, soliton and supercontinuum laser sources, which translated fundamental discoveries to practical technology.
