Congratulations to Mr Miltos Kyriadikis for winning the 3rd place award at the "Transport Research Arena" Conference held in Athens, 23-26 April 2012. Both the conference and the competition are sponsored by the European Commission under the Seventh Framework Programme. Miltos’ research poster was on "A Human Performance operational railway index to estimate operators` error probability". The “Young European Arena of Research 2012” competition is open to early-stage researchers registered in a college or university from across the European Union, EU Candidate Countries, Potential EU Candidate Countries and European Economic Area and over a thousand entries are received with only the top 30 researchers invited to the Conference. In addition to a financial award, Miltos was invited to attend the Conference with a full sponsorship. Miltos’ supervisors, Dr. Arnab Majumdar and Professor Washington Ochieng are delighted that Miltos’ research contributions to date has been recognised by the award.
