Imperial has been ranked in eighth place in the THE World University Rankings 2012–13, published on 4 October.
Maintaining the same position as in last year’s table, Imperial also continues as third in the UK, behind Oxford and Cambridge (second and seventh in the world respectively). Caltech topped the rankings, while 31 UK institutions made it into the top 200
