Sir Thomas Hughes-Hallett speaks to his new colleagues and guests on the topic of end-of-life care.
Sir Thomas Hughes-Hallett recently joined Imperial College London as Executive Chair and Adjunct Professor of the Institute of Global Health Innovation.
On Thursday 18 October, Imperial held a welcome lunch for Sir Thomas where he gave his first address to his new colleagues. Guests included the Institute’s Director and deputy Director, Lord Ara Darzi and Professor Guang-Zhong Yang, James Reilly (CEO - Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust) Sir Liam Donaldson (Chair in Health Policy).
Sir Thomas was formerly Chief Executive of Marie Curie Cancer Care and has published two major reviews on Philanthropy and on End of Life Care for adults and children. He is a trustee of The Kings Fund and the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation. You can listen to Sir Thomas's speech in full (below).
