Newly appointed Energy Minister comes to Imperial
John Hayes MP, the newly appointed Minister for Energy, came to visit Imperial on 22 October to talk to 500 academics and private organisations about the future of energy policy in the UK.
Mr Hayes’ speech focused on how the UK must invest in areas like carbon capture and storage to meet its ambitious energy targets. President & Rector Sir Keith O’Nions also gave the Minister a tour of the Department of Chemical Engineering’s carbon capture pilot plant.
