Recent MEng graduate Neal Wannell picks up his Salters' Institute Graduate Prize at recent awards ceremony

Neal Wannell has become one of only 5 Chemical Engineering graduates in the UK to be awarded a Graduate Prize worth £1,000 by the Salters' Institute, in recognition of his academic achievement as well as his potential ability to make a significant contribution to the development of the UK chemical industry. 

Neal was presented with his award at a reception held at Salters' Hall in London at the end of November.   Neal can now add the Salters' Prize to the three other College prizes he won this year!

The Salters' Company founded the Salters' Institute of Industrial Chemistry in 1918, initially to aid young chemistry students returning from the war. Today the Salters' Institute plays a major role in the support of chemistry teaching, the encouragement of young people to pursue careers in the UK chemical industries, and the promotion of chemical education including the whole area of curriculum development.
