Information gathering and networking opportunity for PhDs and Post Docs

The PhD Careers Forum provides a great opportunity to get an overview of a variety of roles in a diverse spread of sectors outside of academia. This event is specifically aimed at PhD students / Postdoctoral research staff from all disciplines and all year groups at Imperial College. There are 5 leading companies taking part and you will be able to hear first-hand from a panel of senior managers and professionals (some alumni of IC) from a variety of industry sectors about their own personal career choices and development.

The evening will starts with a presentation from each of the 5 members of the panel and finish with a Questions & Answers session. This will then be followed by refreshments and an opportunity for you to talk to the speakers and other members from each of the organisations. This is an ideal opportunity to use the time for some important informal networking.

Career areas being represented range from working as a quantitative analyst in investment banking to  R & D in a multinational company. Come along and find out more about the wide range of future career options open to PhDs and Postdoctoral Research Staff outside of academia.
