The Focus on the Environment week includes events happening most days, culminating in the Science Careers Fair, (Thursday 1 February, 17:00 - 19:30 in the Queen's Tower Rooms) – which is a ‘must’ for students genuinely interested in developing a career in this sector.
How to Get an Internship in the Environmental Sector - Workshop

This workshop is targeted at 1st 2nd and 3rd year undergraduates who are interested in finding internships in the Environmental sector.
The session will cover:
- A basic introduction to the sector
- Examples of job roles available
- Sources of advertised internship vacancies
- Speculative internship applications and the hidden job market

What Does an Environmental Consultant Do? Lunchtime Careers Talk

The informal session will cover a view of the environmental employment marketplace focusing on the consulting arena, and what consultants do. We will take a look at how accessible this career direction is and what routes there are to getting into it as well as what attributes the employers themselves are looking for in their new recruits. Lastly there will be plenty of time for a Q&A at the end.

Working in the Environmental Services Industry - Lunchtime Careers Talk

All year groups of students from the Faculties of Natural Science are encouraged to attend the event from first years to PhDs but the event is open to all Imperial students and recent Imperial Alumni.
Booking Information: There is no need to pre-register but you will need your Imperial ID card to gain entry. Only current Imperial students or recent Imperial Alumni will be able to enter the fair.
