Opportunity for Singaporean students to gain practical policy making experience.
The Public Policy Challenge (PPC) brings like-minded undergraduate and postgraduate students together to compete in an exciting and challenging policy case study. PPC is similar to a business case competition but is set in Singapore’s national policy context. It aims to raise awareness of the challenges and dilemmas in developing and implementing public policy in Singapore. The challenge enables participants to gain insights into the issues faced by policy makers and glean a good understanding of the intricacies involved in public policy development.
The first run of PPC was held in Singapore in 2008 and have since been annually organised by the Public Service Division (PSD), Prime Minister’s Office in Singapore. Besides holding the challenge in Singapore, PSD also brought the challenge overseas to London and New York with participation from Singaporean students from top UK and American universities. The next run of the challenge in 2013 will be held in Singapore and we are extending this wonderful opportunity to all Singaporean and Singaporean PR students studying in universities from around the world.
Do you have what it takes to formulate and communicate public policies? Are you ready to take on the challenge?
