IDM: Digital Discovery Workshop, 26-27 March 2013

by Robin Stone

Workshop by the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing aimed at students interested in a career in marketing

A note about us
The Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing is a globally-renowned training organisation with a mission to help marketers be the best they can be. So we use expert marketers to teach the marketing techniques that work the best in today’s switched-on, digital world. What makes us unique is our second mission: to give the brightest graduates, no matter what their degree subject, everything they need for a head start in this competitive, but rewarding profession.

Why?
Right now, there are huge opportunities – and a real demand - for students and graduates from numerical, scientific or other analytical disciplines to enter the marketing profession and make their mark as customer insight experts. The digital world is presenting brand owners with more information about their customers than ever before. However, there’s a serious shortage of people who can makes sense of, and create opportunities from, the oceans of data coming from online and offline customer interactions.

What’s the IDM Data Discovery Workshop?
Data Discovery is a 2-day workshop where successful candidates will get the chance to learn all about the marketing business and the enormous importance of customer data within it. It’s designed specifically for students who are studying numerically or analytically-orientated degree courses or modules, and whose skills are complemented by a flair for business or creativity with numbers. They’ll learn direct from data marketing experts, try their hand at practical marketing projects and be introduced to industry VIPs who can open the door to the jobs. They’ll also have great fun doing it!
