Opportunity to gain funding for a summer placement at a UK non-for-profit institution from the Careers Advisory Service
What is Charity Insights?
Charity Insights is a Careers Advisory Service initiative developed for Imperial undergraduate and PhD students. It offer students a chance to experience working in the UK not-for-profit sector through a short internship. The internships are 4 weeks in length (or part-time equivalent) and can be taken at any point during the summer.
The scheme requires you to find your own internship within a non-profit organisation based in the UK. Imperial College Careers Advisory Service will then offer you £245 a week over the four weeks.
Eligibility criteria
- You must be a current Imperial College undergraduate or PhD student who will be continuing with their studies at Imperial in the 2013/14 academic year.
- The organistion you complete the internship with should be a registered charity, voluntary organisation or associated fund raising body or a statutory body.
- The internship must be based in a UK office
- Whilst on the internship you should have a distinct 'graduate level' project to complete in the four weeks
- The Internship & Placement Unit must be provided with a contact name within the organisation
