2013 award opportunities for female PhD students and postdoctoral researchers
The British Federation of Women Graduates (BFWG) awards scholarships each year for academic excellence to third year PhD students (or part-time equivalent), worth on average around £3000. Last year, two Imperial PhD students received awards.
The deadline for applications this year is 22 March 2013. For more information, please see the BFWG website.
The L'Oréal UK & Ireland Fellowships for Women in Science were launched in 2007. Four fellowships are awarded annually to outstanding female postdoctoral researchers, each worth £15,000. Last year, Dr Katrina Lythgoe (School of Public Health) received an award for her work.
