COMMONPURPOSE: Frontrunner for disabled students, 2-4 July 2013
Course aiming to help disabled students develop their leadership skills
This Frontrunner is for disabled university students over the age of 18
who want to improve their capacity to lead. You need to be able to
demonstrate that you’ve lead before in any forum – at school; university;
work; sport; a club or society; a religious group; or even with your friends.
Frontrunner is a course that lets you explore leadership. As a participant
you will move your understanding beyond models and theories by
investigating leadership from the perspective of local leaders. You will
meet current leaders across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors
as they share the challenges they are facing.
Learn more than what it means to be a leader. Learn how to lead.
Take part in an active three day leadership course where you will:
• visit organisations from every sector
• meet leaders from a range of backgrounds
• consult on real-life business challenges
• try your hand at leading teams.
