ENGINEERS WITHOUT BORDERS: 2013 Summer placement program launched

by Robin Stone

Charity and community action related placements for engineering and IT related projects in Asia, Africa and Latin America

Our 2013 Summer Placements Programme has launched! This could be your chance to make “massive small change” and empower human development through engineering. With placements taking place across Asia, Africa and Latin America, you are sure to find something right for you.

From an IT specialist bringing refugees access to online education in Malawi, to the rural electrification of Malaysian Borneo through renewable energy, we have opportunities for experienced engineers at the beginning of their careers and technically-oriented students alike.

A total of 22 placement volunteers will be selected – from what is sure to be a very competitive pool of applicants – to spend between 3-months to one-year with one of our 19 partner organisations.

To see the complete overview of this year’s placements and to learn about the partner organisations in more detail, please visit www . ewb-uk . org/programmes/placements/2013, where you will also find the link to begin your application.

Applications are due by midnight on Sunday, March 3
