The Events and Sales team wear PJs to work for Red Nose Day

Events and Sales team in their pyjamas

Staff from Imperial's Events and Sales team took the idea of 'dress down Friday' to a new level today by arriving to work dressed in their pyjamas.

The alternative attire of the team wasn't due to the staff sleeping through their alarm clocks, but was thanks to their decision to do something funny for money for Red Nose Day 2013. So far the team have raised over £200 for the charity.

The experience was particularly unusual for Emily Johnson, Events Coordinator, who started working at the College on Monday. “This week has been my first at Imperial and what a great way to end the week in my PJ’s! We had a team meeting this morning in our boardroom, I sat there considering the irony of the situation as only a month ago I sat in the same meeting room for my job interview,” said Emily.

The UK-wide fundraising event, organised by Comic Relief, takes place every two years and encourages people to cast their inhibitions aside, put on a red nose, and do something funny for money.
