The Committee on Climate Change respond to a recent article on the 'great green con' published in the Mail on Sunday.
The Mail on Sunday recently published an article by David Rose on the ‘great green con’, challenging fundamental aspects of climate science and suggesting that action now to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is unwarranted.
Professor Sir Brian Hoskins and his fellow members of the Committee on Climate Change have written a response to the article focusing on Mr Rose’s discussion of the recent pause of global temperature rise, agreement between observed temperatures and climate model predictions, and ‘climate sensitivity’.
The full response can be viewed on the Committee on Climate Change blog.
