by Raphaele Raupp

The 6th Hamlyn Symposium on Medical Robotics will be held 22-25 June 2013.

The 6th Hamlyn Symposium on Medical Robotics will be held on Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th of June 2013 at the Royal Academy of Engineering. Workshops will be organised on Saturday 22nd and Tuesday 25th of June at Imperial College London. Conveniently located in the heart of central London, the symposium venue is within a close proximity to Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, The Mall,  St. James' Park and Green Park, in an exclusive enclave with rich architectural and cultural heritage.

The Symposium aims to promote the development of advanced, minimally invasive surgical robots that are intelligent, sensor rich and allow seamless human interaction through multidisciplinary collaboration between the surgical and engineering community.

Complementing the main Symposium, workshops will give participants an opportunity to learn from the leaders in the field of medical robotics and gain an in depth knowledge of advanced surgical technologies. Organised as half day events, the workshops will provide a great forum for academia, industries and governing bodies to exchange ideas, promote emerging research directions and present novel technologies in engineering and medicine.
