A review of the RCUK Energy Strategy Fellowship's news from 2012
In 2012 the Fellowship was busy preparing and delivering workshops that would inform thge design of the Energy Research Prospectus. However, the team were also busy meeting with various key energy experts and institutes both within and outside the UK. These meetings included:
5-9 November 2012: Jim Skea attends IPCC Working Group III Lead Authors Meeting, Vigo, Spain
6-9 August 2012: Jim Skea attends IPCC Working Group III Stakeholder meeting Washington DC. Visits US Department of Energy and British Embassy/RCUK Office
24-26 July 2012: Jim Skea presents at the 2012 International Energy Perspective Summit on Energy Economy and National Strategy, Taipei, Taiwan. Visits Industrial Technology Research Institute and the Chung-Hua Institute for Economic Research
10-11 July 2012: Jim Skea attends NERC Resource Security Strategy Panel Meeting
4 July 2012: Jim Skea attends Research Council UK Energy Programme Scientific Advisory Committee meeting
13-14 June 2012: Aidan Rhodes and Jim Skea attend Technology Roadmapping Training Course, Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge
6-9 June 2012: Jim Skea attends IPCC Plenary Meeting, Geneva
15 May 2012: Jim Skea meets with Energy Minister Charles Hendry
1 April 2012: Jim Skea appointed Research Councils UK Energy Programme Strategy Fellow
