A unique competition that challenges students to design, build and drive the most energy-efficient vehicle.
More than 3,000 students will compete in making their own vehicles travel the furthest on the least amount of fuel.
Prior to the competition, the City of Rotterdam and Shell will co-host the Powering Progress Together conference, which will bring together leaders from business, government, NGOs, academia and young talent to discuss the Energy-Water-Food challenge and what they can do to survive, adapt, and grow in this volatile world.
You now have the chance to join us from May 14 to May 16, and attend these amazing events as our special VIP guest.
We will offer you a three-day trip to Rotterdam, which includes the following:
- Visit to the Shell Eco-marathon Europe 2013
- Guaranteed access to the Powering Progress Together conference; a discussion on the Energy-Water-Food challenge with senior leaders Ahmed Aboutaleb (Mayor of Rotterdam), Jørgen Ole Haslestad (CEO Yara), Michael Suess (CEO Energy Sector Siemens AG) Peter Voser (CEO Royal Dutch Shell), and many more
- An exclusive dinner with Shell senior leaders and recruitment representatives
- Interview with one of our recruiters at our Shell offices
- Great networking opportunities
- Flights to and from Rotterdam and hotel accommodation
To be eligible for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, please send your CV and cover letter outlining your motivation (250 words or less in WORD format) by April 24 to Graduate-Careers@shell.com.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll be sent an e-mail invitation to complete two components of our online assessment. We’re looking to find out more about how your personal skills complement your professional qualifications.
There are two parts to this:
- Part 1 - a series of competency-based questions. Once you have successfully passed this part of the assessment, you will receive an invite to take Part 2 of the online assessment.
- Part 2 - We will assess your decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
After passing the online assessments, winners will be notified to join us for the Shell Eco-marathon Europe 2013!
