The Career Advisory Service is running a series of employer talks and skills sessions as part of the Focus On - Law Week, which will take place between Tuesday 14 and Thursday 16 May.
An Overview of the Legal Profession: Careers and Training Routes – Lunchtime Careers Talk Tuesday 14 May, 13:00 – 14:00
A panel of speakers from Bird & Bird and chambers will provide an overview of the legal employment market, focusing mainly on the differences between the roles of a solicitor and a barrister. The panel will also cover the different training and qualification routes for non-law students, as well as the attributes legal employers traditionally look for in applicants. The Roles of an IP Lawyer and Patent Attorney - Lunchtime Careers Talk Wednesday 15 May, 13:00 – 13:50
Legal representatives from Hogan Lovells and Olswang LLP will provide a detailed insight into the roles of and differences between an IP Lawyer and Patent Attorney.
