Keith Andrews & Hossay Abas as well as Ploy Howell and Roxane Jourdain join the group as MSci and MRes students respectively.
Keith Andrews joins the group after spending his 4th year as a year in industry placement in Med Chem at GlaxoSmithKline, Stevenage. He is working on a diastereoselective double ring-closing metathesis reaction towards the total synthesis of (-)-euonyminol as his final (5th) year MSci research project.
Hossay Abas joins the group after spending her fourth year doing an industrial placement at GlaxoSmithKline, Stevenage. For her final (5th) year MSci research project she is working on the total synthesis of Lophirone H via an oxonium-Prins cyclisation.
Ploy Howell joins the group after completing her BSc (Chemistry) at the University of Sheffield. She is now doing an MRes in Chemical Biology and is working on immobilising herbicides to determine which Cytochrome P450 enzymes are responsible for metabolism in collaboration with Dr. Rudiger Woscholski (Imperial College, Chemistry).
Roxane Jourdain joins the group after completing a BSc in Chemistry at Imperial. Her MRes in Drug Discovery and Development research project involves the development of peptide inhibitors for the treatment of prostate cancer in collaboration with Dr Charlotte Bevan and Dr Greg Brooke (Imperial College, Oncology).
