Jonas Huehn and Eduardo Izquierdo Garcia

Jonas Huehn (ex. University of Marburg, Germany) & Eduardo Izquierdo Garcia (ex. University of Barcelona) join the group

Jonas Huhn joins the group as a final year undergraduate student from the University of Marburg, Germany. His 16 week research placement (16th April until the 3rd Aug) is funded by the ERASMUS exchange scheme. Jonas is exploring chemistry relating to a catalytic asymmetric benzilic ester rearrangement (BER).

Eduardo Izquierdo Garcia joins the group as a final year undergraduate student from the University of Barcelona, Spain. His 9 week research placement (2nd July until the 7th Sept) is funded by the ERASMUS exchange scheme. Edu is working on the asymmetric total synthesis of lophirone H via a Prins cyclisation.
