9th African school health and nutrition course to focus on nutrition in the school-age child and adolescents.
Following the success of the 8th school health and nutrition (SHN) and HIV prevention programmes course in Kilifi, Kenya last year the Partnership for Child Development (PCD) and partners are co-organising the 9th African SHN Course, to be hosted in Ghana between 10 - 20 June 2013.
This year's course will focus on nutrition in the school-age child and adolescents. For ten days attendees will engage in both classroom and field based learning in which the exchange of best practice, regional knowledge and experience will be prioritised. Delegates will attend a mixture of hands-on action planning workshops, expertly facilitated lectures on a range of SHN topics.
The course fee this year (which includes all tuition, accommodation, meals, and course materials and is exclusive of flights and personal expenses) is USD $1750.00. Course applicants may be sponsored by national, institutional or corporate donors and PCD is able to support applicants in seeking sponsorship.
Applications are now being accepted and must be submitted on or before the closing date of Sunday 12th May.
