Opportunity for non-law students from ethnic minority background to gain an insight into a career in law through workshops and networking
When is it?
11 & 12 or 13 & 14 June
What is it?
A 2 day event for law and non-law students who are interested in meeting recruiters, representatives and fellow students and discovering more about the sector
What’s involved?
Some sessions include topical case studies with performance related feedback; an opportunity for students to polish their presentation skills and learn why this is relevant for their future careers; networking with trainees, lawyers and recruiters from the firms; bespoke skills sessions offering advice and tips on how to stand out when applying for vacation schemes, training contracts and more
Who can apply?
Traditionally 1st year law and 2nd year non-law students. However this year firms have shown an interest in meeting candidates from all stages of an undergraduate degree.
Must be from an ethnic minority background as detailed in the Census Report 2011
Must be able to demonstrate academic excellence
