Two members of Chemical Engineering have won President & Rector's Awards for Pastoral Care
Professor Geoff Maitland has been awarded a 2013 President and Rector's Award for Pastoral Care. The awards recognise members of the College who have shown exemplary behaviour and actions in relation to pastoral care for students. Geoff also won this year's newly established 'Best Personal Tutor' award as selected by Chemical Engineering Undergraduates, showing just how much he is cherished in this role.
The good news doesn't end there: former Undergraduate and current final year PhD student Yujie Zhao has been awarded a President and Rector's Medal for Outstanding Contribution to Pastoral Care. Yujie, along with fellow winners James Field (Bioengineering) and David Charles (Life Sciences), is a Subwarden at Linstead Hall, where she has made an outstanding contribution towards a supportive learning environment. Yujie will be invited to receive her Medal at the Commemoration Day Ceremony in October.
