Global Health Innovations: Products, Policy and Platforms
The Institute of Global Health Innovation hosted Dr Julio Frenk, Faculty Dean of the Harvard School of Public Health for this year's annual lecture.
Mankind has made more progress in healthcare in the last 100 years than it has over its combined history. Yet despite this quantum leap in our understanding and ability, huge disparities remain in the healthcare of developed and developing countries.
On Monday 20th May, the Institute of Global Health Innovation had the privilege of hosting Dr Julio Frenk, Dean of the Faculty at the Harvard School of Public Health for this year’s annual lecture, ‘Global Health Innovations: Products, Policy and Platforms’. Dr Frenk gave a perceptive, enlightening and remarkably accessible lecture touching on the distance we have come and the challenges we face. Providing examples throughout, Dr Frenk discusses how advancements in knowledge, evidence and evaluation will continue to provide the innovations needed to tackle global health inequalities and the rising burden of disease.
