MSci student Keith Andrews receives prize for the best organic section research talk in the final year research symposium
At the 2013 Final Year MSci Chemistry Research Symposium on Tuesday the 11th of June, both Hossay Abass and Keith Andrews, the MSci research students in our group, presented their results. Keith received first prize in the Synthesis Session for his presentation entitled: 'Towards the Synthesis of Decalins from Polyenes by Metathesis - Synthetic and Computational Studies'. Hossay's talk was entitled: 'Towards the Total Synthesis of Lophirone-H via an Oxonium prind Cyclisation'.
Keith also presented a similar talk on Thurs 13th of June at the Sygnature Discovery Regional Undergraduate Research Symposia held at Queen Mary University of London, organised by Dr Christopher Bray.
