Ethos played host this week to America's National Basketball Association (NBA) star, Derrick Rose.
Rose is currently touring Europe with Adidas to help take basketball to fans, whilst also promoting his new shoe and clothing line. Rose is nearing full fitness following an injury last season but while training at Ethos as part of his rehabilitation plan, he indulged a few lucky school children in an impromptu basketball lesson, no doubt leaving a lasting impression. Sky Sports News covered his visit as part of a grassroots NBA feature due to air later this month or early August.
Playing Point Guard for Chicago Bulls of the NBA, Rose, 24, is one of the younger players in the league. He has already received many honours including Rookie of the Year in 2008, his first year of professional basketball, and the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in 2011, becoming the youngest player to ever accomplish this honour.
Rose will next be stopping at Paris and Madrid as part of his European tour before heading back to Chicago to focus on brining the first championship to the city since the end of the Michael Jordan era in 1998.
