Chemical Engineering's Stratos Pistikopoulos is amongst six Imperial academics to be newly elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering

World-leading Process Systems Engineer Stratos Pistikopoulos is one of sixty new Fellows to be elected to the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE) this week.  Fellowships are awarded to the UK's most eminent engineers and provide the leadership and expertise for RAE activities, which focus on the relationships between engineering, technology, and the quality of life.

Stratos's research focuses on the development of theory, algorithms and computational tools in multi-parametric programming as well as advanced model based control and its applications to a variety of biomedical, industrial and energy systems. His work enables process engineers to analyse and improve their process manufacturing in terms of economics, energy efficiency and operability.

Stratos is one of six newly elected Fellows from Imperial's Faculty of Engineering, taking the total number now at the College to eighty-three.  You can read more about the other new Fellows on the College news website.
