New Business School head outlines vision

Enhancing the global brand of Imperial College Business School will be just one of the objectives for Professor G. 'Anand' Anandalingam.

Professor Anandalingam, who has started this month as Dean of the Business School, aims to work with staff, alumni and students to build on the School’s achievements and to develop it as one of the top business schools in the world.

In a message to staff, students and alumni, he outlined some of his initial plans for the Business School.  This includes expanding programmes, funding and research.

Professor G. ‘Anand’ Anadalingam, Dean of Imperial College Business School, said:

“I feel immensely privileged to join Imperial College London as the Business School’s Dean.

“Imperial College Business School is in a great and unique position. We sit within an excellent university regularly counted among the top-10 in the world, providing us with fantastic opportunities to collaborate to create exceptional research and education. Having met many of you already, I can see that the School is also blessed with a clearly dedicated and talented staff.

“As Dean, my role will be to work with you all to take the School from the strong foundation created through your hard work and the leadership of Professor David Begg and Professor Dorothy Griffiths, on to even greater success.

“Together, we will work to take our programmes further upwards, improve our global visibility, significantly enhance our faculty and research profile, expand our fundraising activities, engage the corporate and entrepreneurial community, develop and deliver executive education across the world, and work across faculties with a strong interdisciplinary approach. Our vision is to be the leading school of management in the UK and to be counted among the top business schools in the world.”
