3 day Entrepreneurs' Festival taking place in September
Event run by UK Trade & Investments for international students interested in setting up a business in the UK
Final year students (BA/BSc level, Masters or Research degree programmes) and recent graduates from universities around the world with global ambitions have until 16 August to secure a place at the Entrepreneurs’ Festival – a new UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) venture aimed at boosting Britain’s community of international young entrepreneurs.
Hosted in Manchester from 4-6 September, the Festival is an intensive and practical induction into what it’s like to be a young entrepreneur in the UK. Speakers sharing the secrets of their success include Lord Karan Bilimoria of Cobra Beer, PlusNet Co-Founder Lee Strafford and young entrepreneurs like Roberta Lucca of Bossa Studios and David Carter of The Corporate Group.
Attendees will have the opportunity to work with peers from around the world to develop their start up ideas over the course of the event, before pitching them to a panel of industry experts. As well as getting coaching from international pitching specialists and guidance from renowned mentors, attendees will visit entrepreneurial hotspots in Manchester and have to opportunity to quiz experts on issues including raising funding.
The Festival is open to recent graduates or final year BA/BSc level, Masters or Research degree students at, universities in the UK and elsewhere in the world. Visit the Entrepreneurs' Festival website for more information and to apply.
