Imperial MSc students in the Structures Cluster, win 1st Prize in the 2013 Concrete Centre National Design Competition
A very big congratulations to winners Adedayo Adekola, Richard Fowler, Pangiotis Rousakis and Ruaridh Webster, MSc students in the Structures Cluster, (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering) who have won 1st Prize in the 2013 Concrete Centre National Design Competition, sponsored by Laing O’Rourke.
The students will be presented with their cheques and certificates at a presentation at the Institution of Structural Engineers on Tuesday 1 October 2013.
A summary of the event hosted by IStructE on 01 October 2013:
Cost, Carbon and Concrete This seminar will feature a case study that demonstrates how a project team can deliver a cost-effective structure, on time and with a minimal carbon footprint. The event will also provide the latest cost comparison data (updated Summer 2013) for office building types and will celebrate the achievements of the winners of the 2013 Structural Concrete Design Competition. This event and the student competition are sponsored by Laing O’Rourke.
